Captivating Canvas

This June OSilas Gallery will transform into a fashion runway. Marteal and Estrada: Captivating Canvas is an exhibition showcasing the art of fashion with works by artist Marteal Boniello and designers, Jesus and Antonio Estrada.

Twin brothers Jesus and Antonio are a dynamic team of designers whose work transforms how we view fashion. Jesus, a former contestant on Project Runway, and Antonio, a casted designer for a documentary called “Norte a Sur” for Discover en Espanol, have a storefront and studio in Westchester. Having had the opportunity to show their collection at the prestigious NYC Fashion Week – the brothers have dressed several known celebrities including Miss Universe, Miss USA and singer Carly Rose Sonenclar. Both Jesus and Antonio bring a unique twist and classical elegance to their designs – blending the line between fashion and fine art. Bringing their gowns to OSilas Gallery allows viewers to see these wearable canvases as the works of art they truly are.

Marteal, using a more traditional canvas, uses fashion as the focus in her glamorous paintings. Evoking the creative energy of a fashion sketch – her paintings fuse inspirational elements ranging from abstract expressionism and pop art to vintage glamour and classic women’s silhouettes. Marteal and Estrada: Captivating Canvas invites you to look at fashion as art and experience the inner workings of this unique world.
