New York After Dark (1975-1985): The Photography of Cal Swanson is the first major solo show for Cal Swanson and features his brilliant black and white photography from 1975-1985.  Cal photographed strangers on the streets, in the public spaces and in the hotels and restaurants of New York during this gritty period in the City’s history.  He took his camera and walked the streets of Midtown in the evenings, capturing the spirit and diversity of New York City with his Leica.  This exhibition features over 35 black and white portraits of the denizens of New York.
